Ken, thanks for bringing that up in your blog, it was interesting to get your take on it. It first came to my attention on a Jeopardy Fan board earlier this month.
Additionally, someone over there was quick to point this out (a Final J! clue from 2010):
As their bordering countries are all this adjective,
Liechtenstein & Uzbekistan are considered "double" this.
The answer is, of course, "landlocked." And, "doubly of course," one of the countries that is doubly land-locking Uzbekistan is Kazakhstan. So I guess the writers changed their mind on its status over time.
