Tell Your Mayor!

Postby Asher » Mon Jul 31, 2006 11:54 am

Tell your Mayor to sign The U.S. Mayors Climate Protection Agreement.

The Agreement, initiated by Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, was introduced on February 16, 2005 — the same day that the Kyoto Protocol international global warming treaty took effect for participating countries. The agreement calls for Mayors of our cities to implement carbon dioxide restrictions on a local level, and is quickly gathering support around the country, recently earning the backing of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Then you should be getting involved in the Blog Cereal thread. Although Manbearpig would be a pretty good breakfast food mascot...

Since I'm sure our wonderful city council here in Austin has already approved this, I plan to reduce my CO2 emissions by breathing less.

Now, if we could only get some of our local politicians to talk less...

That is where all of the so-called global warming is coming from...Washington, DC. Waaaay too much hot air there.

...and don't even get me started on Illinois...Land of Lincoln...yeah, right!

No, the World Wide Web is the Land of Linkin'.

Chicago is the city where they have crises Daley.

Although I would prefer a little more Illi-silence.

fixed typo to make intentional wordplay make sense
