Out of curiosity, is there a list of confirmed participants somewhere? (Or of participants' locations? I feel like there was something like that last year.)

There is a voluntary list at this location (of which only a small percentage of the total have made any postings). The organizing committee always has a policy of opt in (proactive) announcement of names rather than opt out.

While there are plenty of individual events, the following link can be used to either form teams or to announce formed teams. You can use it to build a team for a specific event, or to compete throughout the weekend.
