The place to talk. "On topic"? "Off topic"? We make no such petty distinctions here.

Dwight King is an L.A. King

The NHL's Los Angeles Kings have a player named Dwight King. So he is both a King and a King.

There's a potential list in the making here. I feel like the most famous member of the list would probably be Jim Brown.

There have been other men with the last name Brown who played for the Cleveland Browns.

Are there any other similar examples?

I know it is not the major leagues, but junior hockey team the Brandon Wheat Kings had a player named Wheaton King. Admittedly he was born in Brandon so his name was more than a coincidence.

The London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League currently have Jared Knight on their roster, and the Plymouth Whalers have Michael Whaley.

My personal favourite was when the Niagara IceDogs had Matt Petgrave on their roster.

I have the Houston vs. Pittsburgh baseball game on TV and just noticed a variation on the theme. I saw an RBI single by an Astro named Castro.

Those who believe that baseball is best experienced over the radio would cite

Dave Philley
Johnny Podres
Jose Cardenal
Butch Metzger

So, does that make him a King of Kings, or just a piker?

He scored two goals last night for the Kings so for the moment I'd say he is the King of Kings. Of course if he turns the puck over leading to the winning goal in the next game he might get crucified in LA! :)

I suppose hockey players do frequently get nailed to the boards.

But that doesn't explain a two-minute penalty for cross-checking.

As a follow-up to the earlier Jesus puns, note that the team the Kings are facing in the finals is the Devils.
