The place to talk. "On topic"? "Off topic"? We make no such petty distinctions here.

Map-themed article

Postby skullturfq » Thu Apr 26, 2012 9:25 am

This article is about regions in the United States, and how divisions between regions sometimes agree with state borders and sometimes don't.

It explores a few ways in which one could divide into regions, such as (1) frequency of cell phone calls between different counties, (2) frequency of people moving between different counties, (3) which baseball teams people cheer for.

(For example, although I have only lived in New Castle County, Delaware, for just under two years, I feel like we are more closely tied to Philadelphia than western Pennsylvania is tied to Philadelphia, despite what the state borders say.)
