Wordplay on a Wednesday

Postby bwouns » Wed May 20, 2009 2:18 pm

It appears that Ken has forgone Wordplay Wednesday today. So let's try this one.

Can you suggest a word that would qualify as the most recent addition to the list:

BUSGIRL
MAJAGUA
BALMACAAN
HIGHCHAIR
WITHSTAND
SUDDEN
FIRMNESS
OBJECT
OVERWROUGHT
NEIGHBOR (This one's a bit of a cheat, but I felt like including it, so I did.)

Yes. SELF-DRIVEN, if it were one word, would be a good addition to the list. (But not the most recent.)

By the way geniusonwheels, I was just about to post an answer to your puzzle, but it disappeared.

I reckon if you never stuff any protein or fats into your piehole, it would be a CARBHOLE.

It took me a little while to realize that one works twice!

Do you think any abattoirs are haunted by COWGHOSTS?

Ah ... took me a while to realize that a certain JOBHOLDER is relevant to the puzzle.

Nice job with JOBHOLDER. I thought for sure someone would suggest a certain five-letter word. Perhaps you abhor the obvious?

It's back now. My laptop was freezing up last night so I have no idea how it was taken off.

And the hyphen makes it one word. Technically.

Ha, I'm not sure if I forgot this thread or missed it first time around.
