Question seven type...

The place to talk. "On topic"? "Off topic"? We make no such petty distinctions here.

Question seven type...

Postby Whatsahoe » Tue Jul 22, 2014 4:55 am

Can you add any TV shows to this list that would continue the original theme?

The Magic School Bus
Dallas
Full House
The A-Team
Crossfire on CNN

It may be best to initially focus on Dallas, The A Team, and Good Times, as they are the most prominent examples. But if you happen to be a particular fan of The West Wing, Full House, or Baywatch, these might help you see the connection as well.

There's one that is so obvious, I didn't even bother to post it. Just the title would spill the beans

Oh, THAT one. It really is right in the title!

And another one that fits (though admittedly I've never really watched it): Arrested Development

Arrested Development may be a special case.

Roseanne

I agree that Arrested Development doesn't properly belong.

Maybe Arrested Development belongs on a new list:

Arrested Development
Small Wonder
Knight Rider

Any others?

The one that I thought of immediately for the new list is ALF, but upon further review it probably doesn't belong.

This isn't directly related to this thread but it made me think of it:

Roseanne + ALF = Full House

looking for other equations.

Probably completely ridiculous, since you have to use the nickname for the first and third (and 2/3 shows are forgetful enough):

Harry's Law + Eli Stone = Night Court

The Wire + Breaking Bad = Oz

House M.D. ≈ That 70's Show

Married with Children ÷ (The Prisoner + The Prisoner + Star Trek: The Next Generation) = Star Trek: Voyager

√ The Yogi Bear Show = To Kill a Mockingbird

The Fairly Odd Parents + Degrassi High = Seinfeld

Or how about -

House M.D. = That 70's Show ÷ Entourage

If you wanted to avoid repetition you could go with -

Married with Children ÷ (Blossom + The Prisoner + Star Trek: The Next Generation) = Star Trek: Voyager

Ah, okay…

So if I understand you correctly, Entourage is the limit of Star Trek: The Next Generation plus the reciprocal of Speed Racer all to the power of Speed Racer, as Speed Racer approaches infinity.

Also, Married with Children + Battlestar Galactica = House M.D.

Dr. Who = Star Trek: Voyager

Sesame Street + The Big Bang Theory = Mad Men

Murphy Brown + 24 = Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

The Nanny + Boston Legal = Frasier

So it looks like Ken inadvertently contributed to this thread. See question 4 of this week's tuesday trivia. Obviously I can't say it as it would be spoilery.

Homicide: Life on the Street + The Andy Griffith Show = Home Improvement

Cory in the House + The Golden Girls = Leverage

Six Feet Under + Lost = Leverage

The Untouchables + General Hospital = Leverage
