I read on the Ken Jennings Wikipedia page that Ken carried a plush Totoro doll (from My Neighbor Totoro) in his pocket for good luck. I almost laughed out loud because this was one of my favorite growing up. Anyone know if this is true, or seen this movie?

I saw the original Japanese version when it was being copied and passed from fan to fan with lovingly added English subtitles. I don't think I've seen the Disneyfied version. Haven't seen his later stuff, only "Kiki's Messenger Service", also the original. The "when I was growing up" took me aback. I'm ooooooooooolllldddd.....

My husband is a huge Hayao Miyazaki fan. Shortly after getting engaged he gave me a small plush Totoro as a gift. The kids think it is the funniest toy now.
